It has long been my ambition, ever since becoming a 'timeshare owner' as far back as 1979, to see the formation of a membership club for owners and those with a sincere interest in Travel. .A club for Timeshare Owners that provided an unbiased source of information on all things timeshare is in my considered opinion a long overdue development. Today the internet offers remarkable facilities to sell, exchange, trade and rent our timeshare weeks.However like so many great developments it is fraught with danger. The very nature of the web enables all sorts of unscrupulous individuals and companies to present themselves as authorities and experts particularly with regards to sales and rentals. Many sincere individuals have parted with hard earned and sometimes crucial dollars in the desperate hope of disposing of their precious timeshare and relieving themselves of their maintenance responsibilities, quite often for reasons beyond their control. In an effort to ensure that only reputable individuals and organizations offer their services through this web facility I will endevour to validate all offers and advise you, should I feel that any service or product falls short of the high intended standards that I have set for this club.This is an unpaid function which I am both honored and delighted to perform. My book "Timeshare...you bought what?" was designed and written with a similar goal in mind. I look forward to your help and suggestions as we develop this facility for the FREE benifit of all those with a sincere interest in the travel and resort ownership industry.

I first met Peter J. Shield during his visit to New York’s Manhattan Club in 1996, at the time Peter’s company Shield International was establishing an Asian marketing outpost in Hong Kong for the Hilton Grand Vacation Club in Las Vegas, and he had been invited by the developer of the Manhattan Club to investigate marketing opportunities in Asia for our New York development. Due to contractual difficulties the relationship was never consummated.
When Peter recently approached me to write a forward for his latest book which chronicles his 19 years in the resort development industry, I was eager to see just what a book entitled “You Bought….. What?” could possibly add to the mass of literature that has been written over the years about our somewhat controversial industry?
